Student Arrested for Refilling Soda Cup Without Paying

University of Texas at San Antonio student Justice A. Falade, 18, was arrested Wednesday for filling a cup with soda in a campus restaurant without paying, which led to a scuffle with an employee, reports My San Antonio.

Falade was approached by an elderly restaurant employee after filling a personal cup with soda from a dispenser and walking away without paying. The employee began to call police and Falade allegedly grabbed the phone from her hand. She then took hold of his backpack. The employee claims the student then “slammed her to the ground,” while Falade insists he merely jerked his arm away causing her to stumble and fall.

The woman suffered various injuries and Falade was arrested. He was charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and could face from five years to life in prison if maximum sentencing is applied.
